Environmental Health & Safety

The safety of our employees, our clients and the public are of paramount concern to Enviroscapes.  As such we strive to ensure that each project is includes all the elements of a “Safety First” philosophy.  Enviroscapes goals and the nature of our work require the attention and active participation of every employee. Managers and supervisory personnel are expected to provide leadership that encourages compliance with safe work practices. In addition, each employee is expected to support our concern for health and safety through safe work practices, avoidance of unnecessary risk, and to help recognize and correct unsafe behaviors or conditions. These efforts are a means of preventing injury to employees, preventing harm to the general public or the environment; and ensuring the quality expected by our clients.

Enviroscapes commitment to safety and quality is reflected in experienced supervisors; development of comprehensive site-specific health and safety plans; Job Safety Analysis (JSA’s), Activity Hazard Analysis (AHA), continuous improvement, ongoing training; consistent enforcement of Company policy by all levels of management; and a proactive accident prevention program.

Corporate Health & Safety Procedures Manual

Enviroscapes has developed and maintains a Corporate Health & Safety Procedures Manual.  This manual is reviewed as part of an ongoing process of improvement and updated periodically in order to respond to performance objectives, client expectations, the changing needs of the Company; and to respond to changes in federal, state, and local requirements.   The manual is developed to allow our employees to understand the potential hazards associated with construction activities, and as such Enviroscapes personnel are OSHA certified and medically monitored. Our safety program is based on applicable sections of the Occupational Safety and Health Administration (OSHA):

  • OSHA Safety and Health Standards – 29 CFR 1910 (General Industry)
  • OSHA Safety and Health Standards – 29 CFR 1926 (Construction Industry)

Experience Modification Rates (EMR)

Enviroscapes current experience modification rate for 2021 is 0.807.   Our EMR for the past three years are:
